Woolworths Murray Bridge Market Place

Project Details

Murray Bridge Market Place will comprise a Woolworths Supermarket, a Big W discount department store, two mini majors, an 1800 square metre Council Library plus approximately 50 specialty stores. The Centre will include two basement carparks catering for over 900 cars. A Piazza area has been designed to incorporate five food court tenancies and a children’s play area, with two external restaurants overlooking the River Murray. Murray Bridge Market Place is scheduled to open in October 2011. MPM has been engaged as Project manager and Tenancy Coordinator.

211 Victoria Square

Project Details

MPM was appointed as Superintendent and Project Manager in 2008 on behalf of Dragon Alliance Pty Ltd for the refurbishment of the existing office building at 211 Victoria Square. The project  comprised the refurbishment of nine floors with each floor area over 900 square metres. The scope included new glazing to all facades, building services upgrade, the introduction of specialty retail on the ground floor and an upgrade to 6 passenger lifts. All works were undertaken within an operating building environment.

211 Victoria Square achieved a 4 Star Green Star rating for Office Design V2.  Stage 3 of the building refurbishment was completed over 2009/2010 with the upgrade of another three floors, with further upgrades pending.

SACA Western Grandstand Redevelopment

Project Details

The redevelopment of the Western Grandstand will deliver much needed improvements to the services and facilities available to members and guests and is integral to SACA maintaining Adelaide Oval as an international cricket ground.

The redevelopment of Western Grandstand will provide 14,000 seats, corporate facilities, back of house facilities and ease of movement for all members.

MPM is currently undertaking project management services for the delivery of the project.

Playford North GP Super Clinic

Project Details

A consortium comprising of Adelaide Unicare Pty Ltd, the University of Adelaide and the University of South Australia was successful in bidding for Commonwealth Government funding to develop and operate the Playford North GP Super Clinic. MPM was engaged in 2009 to act as Superintendent and Project Manager for the project. The GP Super Clinic will include general practise, nursing, psychology, physiotherapy, podiatry, exercise physiology, occupational therapy and medical imaging. The new clinic has been designed to facilitate the integration of health care services and also meet the needs of teaching and training. Both Universities will offer student placements as part of the operational model.

Hilton Adelaide

Project Details

MPM was appointed Project Manager and Superintendent for the refurbishment of Levels 6 & 7, 8 & 9, 12 & 13 of this 5 star hotel on Victoria Square. Each project includes refurbishment of 2 floors typically being undertaken during the winter months as occupancy levels are slightly lower than other months. MPM has undertaken significant liaison with the Builder and Operator to meet the conflicting requirements of a minimal construction time frame whilst causing minimal impact to the ‘quiet enjoyment’ of guests. The refurbishment scope includes replacement of all services within the corridors and guest rooms and new guest room fitout to Hilton brand standards.

Riverside Centre

Project Details

MPM was engaged to manage the base building upgrade of the Riverside Centre on North Terrace. This building forms part of the overall ASER complex completed in the mid 1980’s. The upgrade included improvements to disabled access, amenities upgrade throughout building, base building services upgrade and energy efficiency improvements to achieve a 4 Star ABGR (Greenstar) Rating. MPM were involved in coordination / consultation with various tenant stakeholder groups to minimise disruption to tenants whilst enabling the works to be staged and delivered expeditiously and cost effectively. Construction works were completed in July 2009.

Burnside Village

Project Details

MPM has been involved in the three most recent stages of redevelopment at Burnside Village. Stage 1 consisted of the expansion of retail tenancies along the Sydney Street frontage and Stage 2 a basement carpark and retail development.

MPM is currently providing Project Management and tenancy Coordination services for the third stage of the development and expansion of Burnside Shopping Centre for The Cohen Group. The development includes an additional 35 specialty shops and has the unusual characteristic of having to build around a 25m high River Red Gum significant tree that is enclosed within a 5000m2 glazed mall roof.

Adelaide Airport Ltd Landside Infrastructure Project

Project Details

As part of maintaining one of Australia’s most modern Airport Terminal, Adelaide Airport Limited (AAL) has undertaken to develop the landside infrastructure associated with the airport to meet future passenger and commercial demand within the overall Airport Precinct.

MPM has been engaged to manage the development consisting of a multi-level carpark, landscaped plaza and road network.
The project is currently in documentation with construction contracts to be awarded in late 2010.

University of Adelaide Learning Hub

Project Details

The University is changing the face of student, staff and community services in the redevelopment of Hughes Plaza in 2010. The Hughes Plaza Learning Hub will become one of Adelaide's most dynamic interactive spaces for students, staff and the general public, providing a central location for University services at the heart of the North Terrace Campus.

The project will be developed with the aim of providing a 'community' centre and will offer learning facilities, information kiosks, exhibits and displays, food services and entertaining areas for informal and formal events. It will integrate retail and public services with new learning facilities, student services and iconic facilities such as the Barr Smith Library. The development of the Hughes Plaza Learning Hub will bring together the leading thinking on educational space planning and represents a significant change in learning and social interaction by incorporating technologies such as online learning, learning management systems and wireless networks.

Elizabeth GP Plus

Project Details

MPM was engaged to deliver the $20 million State Government funded GP Plus project located at Elizabeth City Centre in 2008. The facility consists of general practice, diagnostics (Breastscreen SA), dental (South Australian Dental Service), counselling, allied health and specialist nursing services. Each department will operate independently, however, a main reception on ground floor will provide information and directions to people new to the clinic. The clinic is scheduled to be officially opened in November 2010 following completion of Adelaide Health Services fitout.

Gepps X Homemaker Centre

Project Details

Gepps X Homemaker Centre is a Bulky Goods Retail Development located at Gepps Cross South Australia which consists of approximately 50 tenancies . Gepps X is the largest Bulky Goods Development of its kind in Australia. Reporting to Axiom Properties Group, MPM’s role encompassed acting as the Landlords representative, managing design and construction approvals for tenancy fitouts, site activity and managing the integration of Lessee work with base building works. This work required effective stakeholder liaison with numerous parties including the Joint Venture Partners, Leasing Agents, Retailers, Design Consultants, Retailers Designers, Builder and Shopfitters. The Centre opened to trade in June 2009.

GP Plus Woodville / SHine SA

Project Details

The building, is the new base for support programmes for SHine SA together with functions relating to Central Northern Adelaide Health Services. The Client Agencies are delighted with the outcome of the project which MPM managed such that it was delivered below budget and over a month ahead of program. MPM was responsible for the project and risk management, procurement and coordination of FF&E as well as the decanting of various users into the facility.

Flinders Ports

Project Details

Flinders Ports is currently developing a bulk materials precinct within the Inner Harbour at Port Adelaide. MPM was engaged to deliver the first project consisting of a Zinc Concentrate Storage Facility and associated infrastructure. Works were completed in March 2009.

MPM is currently acting as project director for the second project consisting of a sulphur storage facility currently under construction.

University of Adelaide New Sciences Building

Project Details

This development will help accommodate urgent demands for increased space to cater for the University's rapidly expanding student numbers and research activity. This development is being collectively funded by the Federal Government, the University and the State Government. With these world-class facilities, IPAS will develop new technologies focusing on some of the key issues in health, the environment, industrial processes and defence.
These facilities will be located next to the Molecular Life Sciences building and the Benham and Mawson laboratories, creating a science hub on the North Terrace Campus. This project also aims to achieve a 6 Star Rating assessed against the Education v1 Rating Tool.
